My passion is in helping others, solving problems, and taking on challenges of all kinds. So why am I a “Tax Accountant”? Because nothing is black and white. Its about presentation, intent, substantiation, and what is “fair and just”. As a small business owner myself, I can relate with my businesses clients. I see their struggles as they get buried in paper work, intimidated by laws & regulations, and loosing hard earned money just trying to stay on top of it all.
I have been in the Accounting and tax field for over 24 years. I first started as a bookkeeper in 1984 and from there moved to the Payroll and General Ledger department of US Bancorp (and its 26 subsidiaries) in 1986. When I started my family in 1989, I found a more flexible environment in managing the books for physicians. After a few years things started to settle and I headed back to school and to the accounting offices. I obtained my Oregon Tax Preparers license in 1998, Oregon Consultants license in January 2000, Enrolled Agent Certification in June 2000, and became a small business owner of J & J Financial Services in Molalla, Oregon in October 2000. In November of 2004, I joined forces with a group of neighboring CPAs where we provided various services for both practices. As my practice continued to grow, in and outside of Molalla, it became important for me to give my clients undivided attention…so here we are in Oregon City. We love it. Our existing clients, one by one, gave affirmation of the move. Our new neighbors and friends in Oregon City have welcomed us with open arms. |

I was introduced to the tax industry when I met Anna. I have always been a taxpayer, but never been exposed to the” in and outs” and complexity of the complete process. It is a fascinating field that is challenging, fast paced, and fun. I handle the overall business operations. This allows Anna, Milena, and other staff members to focus their time, energy, and expertise on our clients.
My contribution includes everything from working with the City, making client deliveries, and changing the light bulbs. I use to say I was “retired." As of August 2007, this became null and void as we prepared relocation and restructure of our business. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy being part of the team. Not only do I pay the company bills and take out the garage, I am involved in enriching the community and surrounding businesses as well. I am the eyes, ears, and voice of our firm and for our neighboring business. Not only do I have personal relationships with some of the city officials, but now I am able to build professional ones. I am an active member in the Oregon City Chamber, and have recently been introduced to the project with the pending “Main Street” revitalization of Downtown Oregon City. We eagerly await its approval.
My background includes service in the Military, Army branch, as an Operating Engineer. This lead me to heavy construction, working as a equipment operator and/or foreman. In addition, I have been and currently am a property owner and landlord. My experience and expertise flows in many faucets of our company needs. It is exciting to be part of AJH Financial Services, Inc. It is my personal pledge that this firm runs with efficiency, professional care, and with a personal attention to our clients.

I joined this team in October 2007, bringing with me a diverse background and wide range of experience, training and knowledge that is a great asset to the firm and our clients. My experience includes 9 years of payroll and bookkeeping at differing levels, along with 8 years working in various state, county and city, agencies; to include Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Hillsboro Police and Clackamas County Sheriff.
I have familiarity with an assortment of governmental laws, rules and regulations and the high level of confidentiality these require.
I have an energetic, enthusiastic and confident personality which shows in my job and quality of my work. I have worked with Anna previously in Molalla; to our existing clients I am a familiar face. To those who are new to our firm, I look forward to working with you.
I enjoy working with varying people, different industries, and their challenges. Working at AJH Financial is fast paced, fun and rewarding. The “ever changing” environment, our clients, and the firm offer me continuous personal and professional growth. Currently, I am studying for my Tax License, which will enable me to assist our clients’ needs at a greater level. This is just one of my many goals I hope to achieve in my career. I am so excited to be part of this growing team.

I was invited to join the team at AJH Financial Services, Inc in September 2008, bringing a wealth of experience in office management, customer service, and bookkeeping skills.
My experience includes 17 years of running a family owned construction company that serviced commercial and residential clients throughout Oregon and Washington. Working with consumers and vendors has been an integral part of my success. In addition, the experience of managing a small business corporation allows me to relate with a major section of our clients. The know how of getting through red tape, frustrations of regulation requirements, and the ability to maneuver through it all fulfills the needs of our team as well as provides a resource to our clients.
Since I will be working at the front desk, as your first point of contact, every client that walks through the door or calls on the phone will get my undivided attention. It is my objective, working as the liaison between clients and the tax professionals in our firm, to ensure clients’ needs are met.
